Mr. Roehrl is a scientist, economist and policy analyst. At present, he is a Senior Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations where he is responsible for science, technology and innovation. He works towards strengthening the science-policy interface in the UN system and leads analytical work on clean energy technologies, automation and artificial intelligence technologies, and future scenarios, among others. His support for the negotiations have led to new entry points for science at the UN. In this context, Mr. Roehrl initiated the UN Global Sustainable Development Report and currently oversees work on the UN Technology Facilitation Mechanism.
