Nirmalya Syam is Senior Programme Officer at the Development, Innovation and Intellectual Property Programme of the South Centre, an intergovernmental policy research organization of developing countries based in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Syam has studied international law at Jawaharlal Nehru University in India and hasa been a research fellow at the Betty and Whitney MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University. Prior to joining the South Centre in 2008 he was a fellow at the Centre for Trade and Development in India.
