Ms. Elisabeth Hamdouch is deputy Head of Unit of the Unit for Copernicus – earth observation satellites - at DG GROW since September 2018. After her academic international education with focus on Economics, Elisabeth started her career in 2004 as German Federal Office for Foreign Trade in Brussels. In 2007 she started working for the European Commission, as the Brussels Policy Officer, Directorate General Enterprise and Industry, Industrial Competitiveness Policy Unit (industrial policy). A new position led her to become British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, High Commission Singapore, Economist, South East Asia in 2009 & 2010. Subsequently she became the Executive Director of European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (EuroCham). Returning back to the European Commission in Brussels in 2012 she was the Policy Officer, Sustainable Industrial Policy & Construction Unit, DG GROW (in charge of resource efficiency, international cooperation and construction) for 2 years. The last 4 years she held the position of Deputy Head of Unit, Clean Technologies & Products, DG GROW.C1 (energy, climate, environment policies, construction sector) also at the European Commission.
