GeSI Event

The Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) groups 25+ of the world’s leading industry and telecom companies. After coordinating the ICT cross-cutting theme at the 2017 G-STIC, this year GeSI will be organizing a Partner Event discussing the enabling potential of ICT for sustainable development.

This session will focus on the key findings of the two GeSI reports released in 2018, Enabling the Global Goals (released in July) and #EnablingRights (to be released during the event’s week). External stakeholder and GeSI members will discuss the SDGs and human rights, the potential contribution of ICT, the challenges to address, and the importance of partnerships for sustainable development. The Innovators’ Network whose creation is advocated for in the #EnablingRights report will also be officially announced.
